Microsoft to sponsor the World Cyber Games

Software giants Microsoft are working hard on promoting their recently launched next generation gaming console, Xbox 360 and have announced their plans to sponsor the World Cyber Games.

Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 as a result would become the exclusive platforms for the world’s largest video game tournament. This is huge considering the competition attracts millions of gamers from all over the world.

Microsoft would be sponsoring the World Cyber Games competition through 2008, which means that Sony is out of luck for the next two years with their Playstation 3 gaming console promotion.

World Cyber Games is basically a global tournament within cyberspace and would give Microsoft an upper hand for promoting themselves and their products around the world on the internet. Some of the games for this competition would include Xbox 360 titles like Dead or Alive 4 and Project Gotham Racing 3.
