Default Review: Prince of Persia - Sand of Times

Prince of Persia series is one of the best action game series of all times.
I have just finished the second part of the game today i.e. Prince of Persia - The Warrior Within, for which I'll submit the review later in my upcoming threads. As of date, there are three parts of the series in total.

    -POP: Sands of Time
    -POP: The Warrior Within
    -POP: Two Thrones

Let's begin the review with the first part - the sands of time.

Few things about Story plot, The game is about the prince, our hero, who's father, the MAHARAJA, conquers some city in India & also gains control over the sands of time & a time dragger from the loosing party. The Maharaja's "Chief Minister" bluffly makes prince to open the sands of time as a result all the citizen of the city becomes ZOOMBIES, expect King's Daughter Farah, because she had some kind of necklace around her neck, weird!

The prince then decides to bring back the glory & fame of his family & begin his journey to bring back the sands of time.

The game consists of some stunning visuals which takes the gaming experience to another level. The story keeps you involves throughout the game as YOU are mostly responsible for the happenings (Mostly!!!). Taking about Music, it's simply awesome, soft & sweet, helps you surpassing the boring parts of the game.

The game also consists many puzzles, hurdles & secret which you have to solve/reveal during the play. These acts like some essential fillers.

The prince is trained to do some exciting stunts like running on the walls, spring through walls, can do flip over like an olympic gymnast etc.

During the game, prince manage to gain control over Dragger of time which can reverse time for about 10 sec, which helps you to fix problems, the mistakes you have just made, it can freeze anyone if hit with it, can also freeze everything for few sec etc. It also a slow down feature, which make things to act slowly except the prince, hence an advantage!

Time to criticize a bit, the game is really to play; I mean the enemies in the game are not too hard to beat, even the final fight with the main culprits ends in about 3-4 mins. Mostly the action games become tougher as you progress, not in this case!

On the whole, a great entertainer!! One must give a try.

POP has always made a benchmark of adventure gaming takes you into another world (if you really like the game) and with high graphic card the higher version look supercool.

For people who are not popular with 3rd person adventure, Sands of time can be pretty confusing. Many people get stuck at various levels not knowing how to proceed and then they have to laboriously search the guide sometimes even losing interest. But the other two parts overcame that problem.

Yes I do believe the point of frustration wanting to quit the game in helpless situations but it is the time of cheat and walkthroughs which is a necessity even if the player might be a genius some things may be hard to crck even by professional gamer's.

I would differ over here. Sand of Times could be confusing for some, (fine for me!) but I don't agree that the other two parts overcame the problem, for me Warrior Within was the most confusing part especially where prince moves frequently in past & present, but this confusion could be just for me.

Well the last part was probably the most straight forward one with hardly any place to get lost or being stuck.

Agreed! I didn't say that the last part was confusing!! I am talking about Warrior Within which was the second part of the series & If you counting Warrior Within as the last part, you are seriously mistaken my friend.
