After launching the Wii gaming console in North America and Japan, Nintendo has now launched the console in the European market.
Stores in Europe have now begun selling the Wii gaming console starting this midnight. This console features low-end graphics when compared to Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 but features intuitive game play with its unique Wii Remote.
And they would certainly benefit from the Sony’s decision to delay the launch of PS3 in the European markets.
Nintendo’s European marketing director Laurent Fischer spoke about the Wii console: “We wanted to step away from what is the current status in terms of innovation in video games. The area where there is a lot of freedom and a lot of creativity for developers is the interface and the way you play the game.”
