Microsoft Xbox 360 Lounge in India
Software giants Microsoft have already announced their plans to launch their next generation gaming console Xbox 360 in the Indian market. Officially that is. And we have now our own Xbox 360 Lounge, which has been opened in the city of Mumbai.
Microsoft Entertainment has opened this lounge along with Devices Division and this lounge is powered with some of the best games available on this console.
Gamers would be able to test out the latest games available for this platform at this lounge before they get a chance to purchase it in India by Diwali.
The Xbox 360 Lounge is located at Theatre at Wadala and includes experience zones housing Xbox 360 consoles loaded with games and high-definition Samsung LCD television sets.
Mitch Koch, Corporate VP-Global Retail Sales and Marketing Group, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division spoke on this new initiative: “The Xbox 360 has met with tremendous response from various genres of gamers across the world and is fast emerging to be the hub of digital entertainment. In India, judging by the huge customer demand and anticipation around the launch, we are confident that the product will be a definite sell-out. In this context, by setting up the Xbox 360 Lounges we seek to provide gamers an opportunity to test-drive the exhilarating games on Xbox 360 before they finally get their own Xbox 360 console which will be available later this year.”
Mohit Anand, Country Manager, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division added: “The Xbox 360 games console in India won’t hit the store shelves until the pre-Diwali season this year, but the Xbox Lounge in Mumbai will be the one place where gamers can already walk in and get an early taste of next-generation gaming with the Xbox 360, in the comfort of a chic lounge setting.”
Tushar Dhingra, COO, Adlabs Cinemas gave his views on this Microsoft program: “We at Adlabs cinemas want to bring more value to our patrons. During the time designated for entertainment, we want to offer them more and more unique options. The Xbox 360 experience is one such truly exciting option which has swept the world.”
