Survey claims Nintendo Wii is the most wanted desired gaming console
A reader survey conducted by the Famitsu magazine has revealed what is already generally perceived. Sony might have a massive problem at their hands, as the public opinion is that their upcoming Playstation 3 gaming console is priced way too high.
The survey said that nearly 70 per cent of respondents are most looking forward to the arrival of the Nintendo Wii. In comparison, as many as 85% of the respondents believed that the Sony Playstation 3 gaming console is too expensive.
Just about 10.9 per cent believe the price is about right, while 0.7 per cent thinks it is too low.
Nintendo has confirmed that they would not be pricing the Wii above USD 250 market. In comparison Sony Playstation 3 prices begins at US$499 and the fully loaded version is priced at an astounding US$599. The European customers would be paying the same figure but in Euros!
Even the Microsoft Xbox 360 is relatively cheap when compared to the Playstation 3 console. However, one of the primary reasons for the high price of the PS3 gaming console is the inclusion of a Blu-Ray drive in it. Microsoft on their part would soon be launching a HD DVD drive as an add-on for their Xbox 360 gaming console.
