Alright. So I've been looking forward to Assassin's Creed for a long time now. Maybe 2 years or so. I heard about it a long time ago in OXM (Official Xbox Magazine). And since then, there has been a lot of hype. I've seen game reviews give it good scores and people saying how great the game is. When it finally came out, I picked it up at Blockbuster for a trial, popped it in, and started loving it. The graphic were amazing and the fluent movement and kills of the assassin you play is amazing. The controls are tight and smooth, and it's fun to kill, run, jump, and kill some more. There's only one problem. The beauty is only skin deep! After an hour or two of playing, I find myself doing the same thing over and over. Let me play it out for you.

- I receive my mission
- I get on my horse and head out into the plains
- I wander through the plains, trying to find the city I'm supposed to be going
- I get there and sneak in
- I climb tall buildings to uncover my map
- I do a few repetitive things like pickpocket some guy or beat down some guards
- I go to the assassins guild and get the O.K. to kill the guy
- I kill the guy
- It sends me back to the place where I receive my mission

REPEAT

That's how it's been for the last 3 or 4 hits. I can't take it anymore. I don't care how pretty the game is, I can't do the same pretty thing every time I pick up the controller. I can only sit through 1 hit at a time before I need to shut it off. Assassin's Creed is so disappointing. I can't believe how repetitive it is.

Oh yeah, I forgot. After my hit, I go to my "real life" where I'm in a lab and I'm trying to solve some lame mystery I really don't care about. I don't get to kill any guards. I don't even get to run! That part bores me.

Anyway, is anyone else disappointed with Assassins Creed? Am I being too hard on it? I feel like it could have been sooo much better. They did such an amazing job on the graphics and controls, it just gets so repetitive. I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, and now I'm not even going to buy it, let alone finish it.

Cranking

I heard a lot about this game when it was in pre launch but after i saw its preview on a TV show i was also disappointed. It was not that much impressive. Would give a pass on this game.
