Hello guys,

I am novice in this gaming world and to start with I am planning to buy a playstation 2, so i need your help guys regarding the best price for this??

and which are all time best games in PS2

although i m biggest fan of GTA series, i have ended VIce city, GTA 3, san andreas......and gta is the only games i have ever played, i dont get much time to play so whenever i had played GTA and GTA only no matter which part, although i havent played GTA Liberty stories but i am looking forward to that, i under stand i m too far back from your guys but it better to be late then never,,,,so plz solve my queries

I suggest you buy your new playstation s from a shop where you get a proper recipt and a warranty card so that if anything goes wrong with your machine you have somewhere to go to rather then running around those shady repair guys.
Yes it will cost more but for instance things like the hard drive and some other stuff has a manufacturers warranty of upto five years and is well worth the money

Otherwise if you dont care about the warranty then go to Gaffar market in Karol baag at Newdelhi and you will find the cheapest prices for brand new peices whic are sealed (never used or opened) and you may end up saving more then 25-30% on the market retail price.

Cant comment on games as I am more of a PC games guy Tey some PC games like age of empires and total war if you like stratgy games or even some racing games if you like which you can play online and you may end up saving the money you are going to spend on your play station

By the way PC games are a lot cheaper and readily available in India as compared to other platforms and don't forget the god sent torrents

thanks for reply it helped me alot but you still didn't mentioned what is approx current price of PS2 in delhi from the authorised dealer.

one thing more i want to ask you abt GTa san andreas pc version, i have that game with me although its good exp but some mission on pc are very diff to finish like the one in which the main character has to dance and we have to press our arrow keys accordingly, the prob is that these kind of mission becomes and appears very slow and it become very difficult to press the arrow keys as and when required. as the result the mission gets failed.....i wana ask is it due to less RAM as my system has only 256 Ram in it...is it too low for these kind of games.....should i get my ram upgraded....512 will work or more required???

Yes you do need a lot more RAM then 256mb, its not just the ram.. your processor and graphic card has to match as well.

I havent got any idea about the prices.. Its best to look around on the internet as there are many sites which sell them to get a better idea and also try ebay if you like but I dont trust sellers on ebay.

PC to PS2 converter is a hardware, basically its a device to connect your analog sticks (remote) with the pc, one end of the convertor is being connected with the USB port and on the other end we attach our analog stick, It is avalaible in the lajpat rai market, chandni chowk for around 300 bucks...

the only thing in which i facing prob is the software which allows to play PS2 games on PC, its called as M Loader, yesterday i tried it on web but failed to locate it although my friend has bought this software for 100 bucks from the same market, let me work on all this, when all the things will fall in their places i will let you know.....
