Rep Power: 2 | GAMEBOX National Championship 2008 ![]() Online Gaming Enthusiasts couldn’t have asked for better news: the GameBox National Championship 2008—India’s biggest online gaming championship—organised by Reliance World, is being held from 28th January to 10th February, 2008. Gamers can register for the event by visiting any of the 242 Reliance World outlets across the country. The championship offers players an action-oriented all-India platform to compete head-to-head with the best gamers in the arena. GameBox National Championship 2008 includes Counter-Strike 1.6, the most popular multiplayer game and single player games such as Age of Mythology, Half-Life 2-Deathmatch, Need for Speed: Underground and Warcraft III – Frozen Throne. The event will be held in four different levels, where participants will compete at store, circle, zonal and national level. The grand finale will be held in Mumbai on 9th & 10th February, 2008. A mock tourney will also be held during the event on 19th & 20th January, 2008. To participate in the GameBox National Championship 2008, register at your nearest Reliance World. Rep Power: 1 | I do not think that this is the biggest championship in India. Microsoft also held a similar tournament for Age of Empire Players in which the prize money for the first position was 10 lac rupee. But still this is the newest one.. Would have a eye on this one. |
