Japanese Videogaming console maker Nintendo has denied the rumors floating in the market that they could launch their Wii gaming console as soon as September/October this year.

The company has come out with a statement saying that they are due to make the announcement regarding the launch in September and there is now way that they are launching it in that month itself.

Nintendo is also going to announce the pricing of the Wii gaming console in September this year. However, they have somewhat confirmed that this console would be cheaper than both Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360.

Microsoft has already launched the Xbox 360 in the markets and Sony is due to launch PS3 in November this year.

Yasuhiro Minagawa, a spokesman for Nintendo said in a statement: “There’s no change in our plan to release the console in the last quarter of this year. We are planning an announcement in September and it may be causing some confusion.'’
