World’s largest publisher of videogames Electronic Arts has announced their plans for the upcoming Nintendo Wii gaming console.

The company is developing as many as six games for this innovative gaming console, which aims to change the way people play videogames.

Nintendo Wii comes with a motion-detecting controller that allows players to simulate objects like a bat, racket, golf club or sword.

EA has said that they are developing a new version of their best-selling football franchise “Madden NFL” and racing game “Need for Speed” for the Nintendo Wii console.

Some other titles under development are “Harry Potter”, “Tiger Woods PGA Tour”, “SSX”, and “The Godfather.”

The company added that all these games are being developed keeping in mind the new innovations Wii would bring to videogame play. They however declined to reveal the launch dates for these games for the Wii gaming console.

EA General Manager John Schappert said in a statement: “Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the (Nintendo Wii) hardware and controller … creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless.”

Even more impressive is the fact that the company is aiming at launching more than 20 game titles for 11 different game systems during the upcoming holiday season in the United States.
