Thread: "Conflict with Disc Emulator Software detected" popup

I downloaded International Cricket Captain 2008. It contained a .msd file.
I opened that .msd file with Daemon tool & installed the game. When I click on the game icon (on the desktop) to run the game,I get the following pop up message "Conflict with Disc Emulator Software detected".
See the attached screen shot.

Kindly help me out...

Srry man i am not much of a cricket fan ....

it might have something to do with ur cd/dvd mounting software ...have you installed any ?

Yeah...i have installed Alcohol....

Try enabling SecureRom in Daemon tools.

Still getting the same issue....

Yes its positively ur Dvd image mounting software ...if you have both Alcohol and Daemon installed remove Alcohol .....


After uninstalling Alcohol

Go to daemon-->right click-->Emulation-->All options ON

Now try running it .....

Use daemon tools

Tried.....Still the same issue.....

This should fix.

1. Launch regedit.exe from "Start Menu/Run dialog"

2. Locate the following key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi\Sc si Port 2" The port number may vary, look for key
with reference to whatever random letters you used for Daemon Tools.

3. Click Edit on the menu bar, and choose "Permissions..."

4. Select the "Administrators" group

5. Check the "Deny" box on second permission row ("Read")

6. Validate by "Ok"

7. Answer "Yes" to the confirmation dialog

8. Close the Registry Editor window and enjoy.

Hey forget all this ...

my friend experienced the exact same problem n i found the solution ...

Just download and install the latest Daemon ...

I think its 4.12.3

i guarantee u it ll work fine after tat .....

I installed the latest version of daemon tool 4.30.1...
I dint get any issues....i was able to play the game...
