While roaming abroad you can get 3g speed but do you know how much it costs per KB? In some countries its so high that if I happen to use 5GB data then I would actually have to sell my house when I come back to settle the bill for using 3g abroad.

Best thing to do while roaming is buy a local chip for example you can get 3 sim card from the airport itself in UK and use 3g broadband using either your mobile to connect your laptop or use a usb stick like shown in the picture above.

Vodafone does not provide 3g speeds in India because 3g spectrum is yet to be auctioned and there is no gurantee that Vodafone will be one of the winners.

Provide the source too will be of great help.

Till now 3G Spectrum has not been allotted to any operator for commercial purpose.

Im not sure about that, but it states 3G speeds abroad, and nothing mentioned in India, so i suppose the 3G services would only be when traveling out of India. I got the information from Vodafone site itself.

    Unhappy vodafone usb stick 3g

I v recently purchased this. It cost me 1600 bucks.Initially I opted for their plan for Rs.499/- for 30 days validity with 20 gb usage free.My experience is not at all happy. The signal strength and connectivity in metro areas only is workable. But outside metro areas there is serious connectivity problem. Therefore before purchase you should check the connectivity status of the company's network at the place where you should mostly work with it.The company has not yet been able to fix my connectivity problem after 10 days of my purchase.
