Thread: Please HELP Regarding My New Vodafone k3570-z MODEM

Hello friends, I lives in Maharashtra. I have just purchased a new Vodafone k3570-z modem before 3 to 4 days. I liked it and itz working very good. But just due to my curiousness I tried to put some other company's SIM in this modem..yet I was full sure that it will not work with other Sims...But exactly its opposite happened it with me..it was working perfectly with Tata-docomo's SIM [ I was able to connect net by just changing extra initialization command], then I tried to insert even !dea's SIM and it stills was getting signals but due to reason of insufficient balance I could not connect it with !dea.

So my question is that...

* how a brand new Vodafone modem can be by-default unlocked?
* just getting signals of other SIM's means is it unlocked or not?
* I tried to check itz slock status using dc-unlocker...Bt it was showing card not found..
* Will it harm to my modem if I use it with some other sims than the vodafone?


Plz help ...plz tell me your opinion on this issu... either is it locked or unlocked? plz try to ans abv ques..

Dear Frined, iam also having the same modem with unlocked status but i can't able to connect all SIM please advice what are the changed we have to do in this VMC software before connect please advice as soon.

extra initialsiation comand is different for different operaters(SIMs)...

for Vodafone It is
AT+CGDCONT=2,"IP","www","0.0.0.0",0,1

for Docomo
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET"

for idea
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"

for Airtel
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com"

I have also seen this. My 3G USB Stick is also unlocked. I have used Docomo SIM, with Vodafone 3G USB Stick and used their dialer which u can download from Docomo website.

Furthermore RAS Errors and other problems which I faced terribly with vodafone sim and their mobile broadband software, disappeared.

In my opinion, all the problems people face including me using Vodafone 3G Stick is due to their software. It is the worst and full of bugs.

In chennai just now-I saw Voda mini store and enquired about the USB stick they advt.
The mini store had no stock but after talking to the Voda dealer rep ,told me for
Prepaid- the usb stick ( I assume 3570z) is Rs 1600 + additional must buy starter GPRS package (with sim I guess)
A.Rs 599 -30 days u/l or
B.Rs 549 -1 Gb/month for 6 months.

I already have a (recently purchased) 3G activated Voda sim which is giving more than 4 Mbps in my android phone. Running 2 GB/ Rs 98 package every 4-5 days.
(Chennai- Voda 3 G under trial .By month end, have to buy proper 3G data plans or It will revert to GPRS (25KBPS) speeds)
I have to find out wheteher the main store will sell me only the stick with out the Rs 599/549 starter GPRS pack.(as I have GPRS package already running).
The pamphlet says max 3.2 Mbps. I remember seeing 2 data cards in Voda site.7.2 to 21 Mbps data card should be costlier.
This deal sounds similar to Idea Netsetter. ( In AP they are offering the Idea GPRS/3G data stick for Rs 999 + 1st month package Rs 400 or so) Both are max 3.2 mbps only.
Airtel 3G Data card @ Rs 2499 is capabale up to 7.2 mbps ( I think).
Comes with 2 year warranty-

Those who are using Voda data card -kindly post (3 G and not GPRS ) speed test .

it is factory unlocked just you have to use another dailer software....just google for zte k3570z dailer

i am use vdfn modemk3570.by downloading air join software i done successfully connect internet by airtel sim through some setting.but after put bsnl sim that did not show device locked thought i click connect then appear connection failed.after setting in air join sofware are all correct and extra initializing command.net not connected please help me.and say bsnl extra initializing cmd

just do following step


1. download the zte k3570z driver from Win-ZTEDrv_V1.0.1.16.zip
2. install the drivers first
3. then download the zte dashboard join air free download ZTE_K3765-Z_WinXP_Vista.zip
4. install the zte dashboard and restart your computer
5. plug in the k3570z modem with any other sim to which you want to switch to
6. dashboard join air will start automatically and wait until the dashboard software recognizes your k3570z modem
7.go to join air ->setting icon->add->giv config name according to sim provider->giv dial no *99# for tamilnadu-> click obtain followin APN address->give apn depending ur sim ->then save and close.
8.goto control panel->phone and modem setting->set area code 91 and contry/region india(note:if ur not set it ur sys b4 it) ->ok
9.click modem tab->select which is COM(attached tab)->properties->change setting->advance->give extra initializing command related to ur sim->ok
then click join air connect icon
