Default 3g users, Why stay with Vodafone, opt out

While bsnl prepaid has 250mb for 100 rs, vodafone is giving 100mb for the same amount, thats too low (ref :: BSNL 3G :: ),

For daily normal usage , few app downloading, surfing, mail checking few songs downloading.. occasional youtube browsing; I generally use 450-500mb a month on Vodafone it will cost me 375rs while in bsnl its 200rs

Even if I restrict myself a bit I can do with 100mb, it will cost me double on vodafone.

Please everybody raise this question with vodafone support

We need to voice unitedly to make ourselves heard

i guess you are new to 3G.
you can find the same issue with each and everyu private operator except state owned bsnl and mtnl.

Every one has thier own reason for being with a particular service provider. I for instance will go for Vodafone over Bsnl/Mtnl any day due to better voice quality and connectivity. Bsnl and Mtnl both have issues with voice quality and also calls drop frequently where as Vodafone is miles ahead of them on that front. Yes there may be a little difference in prices but comparing bsnl with vodafone alone is not fair because Bsnl is a sarkari company and Vodafone is not. I would say comparing vodafone with the likes of Airtel, Idea and Tata would reveal a better picture.

    Agreed

Tariff looks cheap when compared to private operators but what about “ Quality Of Serivce” in BSNL 3G. ( ex: browsing , capping, frequent disconnections ). Bsnl 3g may be good in cities but definitely not at B-grade towns.

I have taken 606 plan ( 1GB day + 5GB night)in bsnl 3g , i had bad browsing in second half plan and adding to that i have frequent disconnections. I have made several complaints at bsnl office but none were solved. Did every thing , changed dns ,broswer for improvements,Bsnl 3G is only good in download speed ( 600-800 kBps).

I opted for aircel 3G ( 975 plan gives 2.5 GB at 7.2 mbps for 30 days) browsing is good and i hadn’t had a single disconnection until now. Earlier in this plan my speed was capped at 3.6 mbps , i made complaint immediately and my speed limit was removed with in 10 days. Now 7.2 mbps, private operators provide speedy solutions when compared to public sector enterprise, i am getting speeds are in between 2-4 mbps in aircel .

My take on both plans & operators :

606 plan in BSNL 3G “NO SATISFACTION”
975 plan in AIRCEL 3G “ SATISFIED” ( though tariff is costly )

    Current speed on Bsnl 3g

    Current speed on Aircel 3g

    Airtel 3G 500MB costs Rs.200
    Vodafone 3G 500MB costs Rs.375

Isn't it a good reason to opt out.

    @sajal
The Airtel 3g price you are looking at on their website is actually a temporary promotion and today 30th Nov is the last day of this promotion and prices will go back to normal from tomorrow onwards.
