In order for you to access GPRS on your Vodafone mobile, you have to activate Vodafone live and this is done through your Vodafone mobile. Using the Vodafone live you can make settings on your mobile phone to activate GPRS.

Postpaid customers need to SMS ACT VL to 111

Prepaid customers need to SMS ACT VL to 144

And both these SMS's to activate Vodafone live there are no charges as its toll free.

Please note that:

Prepaid customers in Kolkatta would need to SMS ZERO to 144

Postpaid customers in Kolkatta would need to SMS ZERO to 111

Customers who are new to Vodafone will automatically get settings under the name Vodafone live and Vodafone MMS, as soon as the sim is inserted in the mobile phone

However if you do not get the settings you need to SMS VL to 52586
