Ok well a lot ahs been said about high end smartphones . Now lets talk about cheapest phones. Vodafone today announced the launch of the cheapest ever mobile phones. The Vodafone 150 and vodafone250 are priced at 15 and 20 USD !
These handsets will first be available in Indian and 6 african countries. This launch is to cater to the isolated rural population . This device supports sms, ringtones, alarm, calculator, torch and voice services. The Vodafone 250 also supports Fm radio.
This initative by Vodafone gets convenience, affordability and technology all at one place. This effort will maximize the availability of handsets in rural India along with allowing of penetration of technology and increasing profits for Vodafone.
Vodafone has most probably done a nano here ! A lesson should be learnt by others
