    Smile Use Vodafone mobile connect to surf internet on your Apple Macbook

    Hi,
    This post is based on my experience of configuring my mac to go to internetusing my Vodafone mobile connect service:

    Environment:
    Macbook running Mac OS X 10.6 - Snow Leopard
    Micromax Q3 mobile with Vodafone Mobile connect activated

    Settings:
    Telephone no:*99***1#
    Account Name: <blank>
    Password:<blank>

    GoTo>Advanced

    Manufacturer: Generic
    Connection: GPRS/GSM/3G
    APN: www
    CID: 1

    Click> Apply

    Click> Connect

    Enjoy!

    Hi

    I am a novice.
    I am using the following configuration. Please help :-

    Macbook 13 inches - Snow Leopard
    Windows Mobile - WM6 HTC Touch

    Have configured Vodafone Mobile Connect on my phone and am able to browse the internet. I am however unable to use it with my macbook .

    Please Help !

    Enable "blue tooth"

    WM6 HTC touch
    As for it's specifications, it's got Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi b/g, 201Mhz TI 850 OMAP CPU, 128Mb ROM, 64Mb RAM, Windows Mobile 6 Professional, 2.8" 240x320px 64K color screen, Triband GSM/EDGE and a 2Mp camera. ....



    MACbook

    # AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless
    # Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
    # 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet

    Just curious. Can you set up local wifi with your Windows mobile smart phone?
    Half the time I keep the 3 G sim in Google Nexus-s and set up local wifi and browse/trade thro the notebook & Go thro Emails/twitter/Bloomberg news in the phone.

    Yes I have used wifi sharing in HTC touch pro
