3g is too costly for day today internet
the gprs speed tested by me are as follows
tatadocomo 125kbps 4gb 98 rs

bsnl 150 kbps 2 gb 98 rs

relince 65 kbps 2gb 98 rs


vodaphone ?

My review (in U.P WEST CIRCLE)
tatadocomo 80kbps 65gb 65 rs

bsnl 150 kbps 2 gb 98 rs

AIRCEL 100kbps 98/-
idea 150-200kbps (depending on phone model) 20/- day
aircel 120-150 kbps (98/-)

Ap circle:

Vodafone 160-200 kbps ( 98 rs, 6gb , 30 days)
Airtel 100-150 kbps ( 251 rs 8gb 90 days)
Idea < 100 kbps ( 96 rs 2gb 30 days)
Bsnl < 100 kbps ( 98 rs 2gb 30 days)
Aircel 100- 150 kbps ( 98 rs 2gb 30 days)

vodhaphone provides 250 kbps with 2gb 98rs

Earlier i use to get 2gb for 98 recharge .
Two months back for AP circle they have increased it from 2 gb to 6 gb
i hardly use 2gb.
Browsing is OK when connected 2 pc
I didn't test docomo speed yet.
Under vodafone 236 kbps ( edge) connection ,my current speed is in between 170 -190 kbps

Arent the prices of net on EDGE coming down dudes??

i mean comeon, its more than a year that i am hearing of 98/- 2Gb, 98/- 1Gb..they even decreased the total quota.

since there is a decrease of 3G prices, why not decrease in 2G net? isnt it playing out with the public money?? and with this speed and services i guess net should be brought like Rs. 35/- month for 2Gb isnt it??

AIRTEL-250-300Kbps(Plan-5rs(40MB),35rs(unlmtd 1 day),98rs(2Gb) and many more
AIRCEL-200-240Kbps(Except for rs5 plan every other plan is truly unlmtd(NO FUP)
BSNL-100-150Kbps
DOCOMO-Full tower no internet(tried many times)
RELIANCE SMART-70Kbps rs98(2GB)

Not tried vodafone yet.
But AIRCEL is the best till date. Airtel is 2nd best.

Among all private operators i hate idea gprs

Their was one STUPID GPRS plan in idea 2G i.e. 96 rs recharge ( 2GB for 30 days) and it has got day limit of 100 MB lol

Once i have recharged this plan ( initially i don’t know about this day limit of 100 mb) and started downloading some stuff from internet , after 100mb i was charged from my main balance

On that day itself i broke idea sim and throwed out side . What a stupid plan is this , i have used many gprs plan of various operators but their is no such rule of 100 MB limit per day in Vodafone, bsnl, airtel, aircel.

I wish idea doesn’t come up with this bloody rule ( 100 mb limit) in 3G 750 plan as i did in 96 plan.

i'm from jaipur n i used vodafone 2gb for 96 n docomo 2gb for 48 , in both cases, i got max. dwnlding speed frm 7-10 kbps only n u ppl r talking about 100-150 kbps..??? unbelievable!!

I think u mean KBps.
8kbps =1KBps.
So 96kbps = 12KBps.

Where from u are?

bsnl is best for me, 100kbps on edge.. 512kbps-2mbps on 3G.

Vodafone is best.. i get aroung 50-70kBps in most of the cases. Min 30kBps.
But use voda carefully. Once my balance got reduced to -430.

GPRS speed depends up on area.....

It is not necessary that whatever speeds i am getting will be achieved by you..

Actually it's the bandwidth everyone is talking about.They aren't the actual download speeds.To get to know what are the actual download speeds,you need to divide the bandwidth by 8.for eg.240kbps=240/8 kBps=30 kBps.This is the thing

Are you speaking of GPRS Speeds ?
I get speeds of 10 to 15 kBps in Kolkata WB with Vodafone 98/- 1GB plan.
