I am living in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and have had AirTel connection for nearly 10 years. I had continued until now because there was no number portability. However, I have found that the signal strength of AirTel is weak to the extent that one has to step out of one's house to call or receive calls on one's mobile. AirTel has just not been able to improve their service though they have towers all over. One gets clarity of voice only when you are outside in the open, otherwise not. The same has been the case in Delhi

However, I have heard that Vodaphone provides good signal strength that one gets voice clarity not only within the house even if it is in a congested locality but also in the basement of a building. Vodaphone has been praised for its signal strength even in Delhi.

What are the views of users of Vodaphone service as compared to AirTel? Now that there is number portability I am thinking of switching over to Vodaphone.
