Thread: help AP 2g voda sim stopped recieving 3g+ signal since 2days,so my dwnld speed crashd

Hi , i am a voda prepaid customer from andhra pradesh .. my sim is 5yrs old , i dont think i ever activated it to 3g sim .. but still i got 3g+ signal
... starting since 2 months and till before a week or so , i used to get 3g+ signal thru umts mode ... and so i used to get 300 - 350 kbps download speed with 27 rs , 1 gb internet plan ...


but since a week , my phone is showing no signal in umts network mode ,, but giving edge signal in automatic/gsm network mode ... with only 25 -28 kbps dwnld speed

anyone else facing similar prob


does this mean vodafone , segregated 2g and 3g sims , and providing 3g+ signal only to 3g sim , even though i have 3g tower near my place .. or is it just a temporary problem with the 3g tower and will restore back like previously :?

is there anyother way i can enjoy 3g+ speeds with gprs tariff :?

ps: i am not a heavy downloader ,, i dwnld hq movies .. so roughly i require some 6 -7 gb per month ... i want the movie to download quickly ,, so i seek good speeds ..
my dads bsnl 2g sim gets 3g signal , but its speed is 20 kbps only ( unlike my vodafone sim ) , so that doesnt work for me
can u pls suggest a better ( relatively cheaper and faster ) network provider according to my requirement ... thanks in advance

That was the testing period for vodafone, where you were getting 3g speeds with mere 2g 27rs plan. Its over now, and if you wanna enjoy 3g speeds recharge with 3g plan.

I don't have any idea about the available cheap plans of 3g in Andra Pradesh. May be someone else can help u.

With 3G demos the providers gave us lollipops that we enjoyed thoroughly.
Hard luck my friend, you got to pay for 3G now.
