Vodafone 3G - Yerwada,Pune - Its Actually 2G

If anybody wants to use 3G in yerwada,pune,maharashtra , pls dont go for vodafone. They have a very weak 3G network here and it keeps fluctuating from 3G to H to E to G to .....
So pls dont fall under the trap of vodafone sales guys.
Also they are currently offering 3G dongles free for wireless broadband connection in the same location . Even after pushing so many complaints , i am amused how come their sales team had the courage to sell another product with same feature in the same location .

You using Vodafone connection then?

yup..wants to switch to some other connections who can provide better 3G connection in my office location (yerwada).

If your not getting what your paying for, I suggest you close your account down, because nothing is being done about the problem, your not getting 3G which you are paying for.

Yup !! Very true. Its a mess when u get fluctuating speeds. Need to look out for better 3G services in this area.

Going for IDEA 3G . I have heard they have good 3G coverage across pune. Have confirmed the most important thing that it has good 3G in yerwada. Hope it has good connection in dhanori too ,then i can enjoy 3G at both home and office.

So yo got two connections one Idea and one Tata.....correct?

Yup .. Idea 3G for my mobile and Tata Docomo for laptop broadband .

Will wait for your Idea 3G reviews, as was thinking of getting an Idea connection.

I think you will be pretty happy with Idea, as it gives good speed in Pune. Not a personal experience, from reviews from friends.

Idea is a good service provider, well at least in the parts I visited in Pune. I went there last year for some work and traveled to a few different places in Pune and I got great coverage for 3G.
