Is there anyone who switched from yahoo to skype for VOIP services?

I recently made this switch, because yahoo isn't available in linux (I know I could use pidgin with a yahoo id to IM my friends).

I feel skype is better. Because it's available in all the platforms whereas yahoo isn't available for linux. And it's possible to use skype as an Instant Messenger too. One of my friends feels the other way around. He said he would switch to skype when it introduces email services.

Love to hear why you've made the change, if any. I'd also love to hear if there is anyone who switched from skype to yahoo and why.
