Thread: Is anyone using MAGICJACK , in INDIA??

Hi there...
I have been looking for for a good solution for my office, so that we can have a US phone number and which has unlimited free calling to US and our customers from US can also call us directly on that number.

So,basically I needed a US FREE PHONE here at India..

One of friend said me about MAGICJACK , and im getting it for 47$ (Setup for 1 year + shipping to India) from us2mytown.com

Im not sure, how does that work and if its good for my business.

Want to take some reviews,so that I can go for it..

I have few questions;

What and what do I need to get it setup and working perfectly ??

And after I get the jack , how do I have to setup and how can I choose my number and enter all of my details for the jack and how do I register that as a valid and official product ?

Unlimited calls to US

I have to give the number on my website, so that,I can get all the enquiries direct on phone from my US customers.

Etc.

yes, MagicJack is an excellent option to make free calls to US, Canada, Puerto Rica & Virgin Islands... I do not have one but my niece is using it. You will need a broadband connection and a free USB port on your PC with which you are accessing the internet. Installation is extremely simple with all the facilities like Voice mail, forwarding etc... You have to keep the PC on and connected to the Internet to make & receive the calls.

You can also consider getting a Sype number, and have a Skype phone, where you can easily make and receive calls.

I am using magicjack and the clarity of voice largel depends on your net provider..
And unlimited calls to any number in US..Infact, we will be also given a us number..
Really a best option for those who makes calls to US randomly

It is wonderful, except one negative point that you have to keep your PC/Laptop switched on all the time. I am using it for three months and no issues. I use it with MTNL Delhi broadband (256 kBPS), and the voice quality is reasonably good. The best part is that you can receive calls / voicemail and you have a real US phone number.

I dont recomend that you use Skype becouse they cost way mutch more money. If you want your own US phonenumber it cos like 70 usd but if you buy magicJack you get it for free.
I have used my magicjack for a long time now and it works great. I got mine from voip-ms.com for a werry low price.
USA dont shipp outside the border i dont know why.

Magic Jack is workable even when it is not connected to the net.
You can have your answering message recorded and the voice mail comes to you via email.

The caller doesnt know that !

i procurred my Magic jack in India in Bangalore only at Rs 3000.

They might be atleast 10 people from every 10000 people in india who use magic hack........This magic hacks are generally bought in us and then carried to india.......if u are looking for such a thing then i prefer u a vonage.(if u have a relative or friend in usa tell him to get a vonage for u).By Vonage u can make unlimited calls to usa and also india as india is one of the few countries that is included in the 60 free countries

i have a question.

I am planning to get magic jack but dont know if this internet speed will be good for it or not.

I am using airtel unlimited internet plan and i got following result at speedtest.net using mumbai location as server. I am in ahmedabad, Gujarat.

ping is 120 or 119 ms
download .62mb/s
upload also .63mb/s

will it work without intereference or i need to upgrade my internet plan to more faster speed?

hey buddy.. i checked it.. but its too costly and i want one in india.. and i think magic jack is one which is handy and small .. so i preferred it... i even checked vonage.. but i feel this is the best... stll not sure.. mainly i am concerned if this will be good based on my internet speed.

My VONAGE phone was on H24 and computer is used as usual.

The persons, you want to talk also should have MagicJack facility.
