Rep Power: 0 | I don't know that this is the right place or not but it goes as follows: Here is my project requirement. I am developing a mobile (blackberry) application that will follow below steps: 1) Trapping all phone events , and run the application indefinitely 2) Capture the incoming call 3) as soon as the incoming call is answered , mute it 4) call a new number (server number )in a seperate thread , 5) join the 2 numbers to create a call conference 6) After the successful joining , server can record the conversation |

Rep Power: 14 | Are you planning to charge for it? What would be the costs involved per min for those who use the service? What country code would the number be? Is the target audiance India or some other country? Do you know that it is illegal to record a call without the concent of both the parties so would there be a message played to the caller that the call will be recorded? Have you done a market survey about the amount of demand for such an application and if people would be willing to pay for it? I personally think its a brilliant idea to market to high end customers and people like small time stock brokers who always need to record calls with orders to sell or buy stocks to settle disputes if any arise due to human error and stuff like that. Another issue would be the amount of infrastructure you would need if you are targetting India as nothing called virtual numbers exist in India. |

Rep Power: 0 | The help i require is here: 3) as soon as the incoming call is answered , mute it 4) call a new number (server number )in a seperate thread , 5) join the 2 numbers to create a call conference 6) After the successful joining , server can record the conversation the new number that (server number) that will be called will be something like did number or something ( i exactly don't know that ), so that the whole conversation can be saved on that server. |

Rep Power: 14 | The technologies you are looking for are already there for exampe Nokia has patented your no3) as soon as incoming call... mute it thing. If you want to do it all from scratch you would need to hire professionals and from what you have said in this thread I assume you dont know how to handle the technical aspect of this. I dont know if there is a market for such a product... if there is good for you but answering a call and muting it till the conference is connected is a big no no... You idea is flawed to the core.. You could actually do it the other way round... Use the phone's memory to record everything and then make the phone upload the conversation instead of creating a conference call... This has many benefits firstly none of the party will have to wait and second the cost of conference call that outgoing call can be saved... to upload the recorded data use the data connection 3g or whatever technology the phone uses to connect to the server... Every individual can have certain amount of storage that is something like 5gb or something... charge them according to usage inscead of time based billing.. Dont forget to come here and throw a thanks at www.indiabroadband.net if you use the idea I just parted with And if you are looking for an investor and are able to prove that a market exists and you could pull profits out of this in the long term give me a shout may be we can work something out Last edited by Admin; 12-31-09 at 06:44 PM.
