Verizon wireless has joined hands with Skype to provide their customers call through Skype using selected smart phones. News was released on Tuesday by the service provider. The service will come from late March. Both Verizon and Skype has jointly built an always on application called Skype Mobile. “ This really new “ said company in a press release. Skype mobile will be available to the owner of the Research in Motion phones. The supported mobiles are BlackBerry Storm, BlackBerry Storm 2, Curve 8330, Curve 8530, Curve 8830 World edition, Tour 963o. Motorola Droid, Motorola Devour and HTC Droid Eris may also use this application to make calls.
To use Skype mobile client, the customer need to have a data plan. The customers can make and receive unlimited Skype to Skype calls which is free of cost. They can also use Skype Out to make international calls at Skype’s rate.
