Give details of the PC. Check PHONE Dialer .free call from PC to mobile.
Any 56K Fax/voice modem is available. ?
http://www.indiabroadband.net/voice-...tml#post311564 (Need some help: PC to landline calls)
Your Telephone ( Landline ) provider.?
Tried/checked Skype ?
cannot confirm FREE calls . ( for local within India or International calls? ).
Any one tried this. I normally call HK and Singapore a lot apart from US.
Used Sify for many years to call Sing/HK (rs 2.99/min) when I talk atleast 20-30 mins with institutions. (not family call)
Nowadays most mobiles are offering ISD around rs 5 or less .( have to have the valid International rate cutter to avial cheap rates)
I may need to talk to USA any time(but happens rarely) ( if my trading app /internet crashes)
At that time I dont care about the cost and use anything.
But I am interested to use the "free call to USA/canada " function only
with out paying any deposit /set up a/c thro credit card.possible?
Reading the help blog reveals lot of un happy people not able to call usa after paying $10 deposit.
Any way your experience in this gmail new function to non usa a/c holders- welcome!![]()
but i have heard one can make a free call from gmail to mobile
my brother made a call to usa through gmail freely.
let me ask him.
gimme time i ll try to throw some light....
ps u mean only through pc or by means of net
You need to be in pc/notebook with pref 3G speeds.(yet to try this in 3G phone)
if you see "call USA" in your gmail page,
Then just add "1" country code and land line no in the dial pad on the right (I tried a Institution's land line not mobile)
With out any credit card a/c set up ,it worked yesterday. No guarantee it work always. (this is officially for USA/canada residents only still)
But reading the Help blog has lot of sob stories of international gmail customers paying $10 minimum and not able to call any thing and not getting replies from Google.
Google is one way street. (Giant machine watching what you do and throwing ads at you discreetly ( not as shitty "on your face ads " like Yahoo)
You can not contact customer service unless you are a big corporate.
Voice Support for us-ordinary mortals -never
E mail reply for your problem- may be.
Whatever works in Google you got to take it. Nothing more.![]()
no need to throw light ... sb has done it.![]()
Sorry. did not read your post giving "F.I.R" earlier. amends made!!.no need to throw light ... sbb has done it.
