Default Which is the cheapest VOIP Service in India?

For making calls to U.S., which one is the most cheapest among the whole lot of VOIPs that have come up in india. I don't want any other countries. I am very specific about U.S., as I make calls only there for my long distance calls. I have been using Sify till now, its quality of calls is good but is not as cheap as they have been advertising.

Stop using sify right away

Try skype and you will love it for ever.. crystal clear voice quality and you wont notice any lag on even a 64kbps connection.
Skype call charges might not be the cheapest but then you get what you pay for.. skype will let you make good quality calls to North America

Dude
Try Acanac High Speed Internet. Low Cost DSL and VOIP Service cheapest and very relaible VOIP service in North America. I have been using acanac for more than 3 years now with no problems. You will get unlimited calling for 9 bucks. Incomming US/Canada number, and support for low bandwith codecs ....

Well if you are just looking for oneway calling try VoipStunt - The Other Free Calls Company, VoipBuster - The Other Free Calls Company as suggested by other users...

VOIPSTUNT, VOIP BUSTER, JUSTVOIP.. etc are from the same company with different brand names......

One of the good things about these companies is they support low bandwidth codec... in lay man's terms..... clear voice quality with slow internet connections.. so its good for users in India...give a try....

Just remember free calling is only for 120 days after that you have to recharge again..to get free calling for another 120 days.. but u wont use ur credit... it just adds up...(provided u dont call after expiry of free calling period)

Link for icall : iCall - Free Phone Calls

I use skype which I think is the best of the best and is not very costly either. Only charges 2 cents per min for North America.

Why r u paying "only 1cent per minute" when u can make the calls for free!!!

u can use Icall software for making calls to any US no's absolutely free.

there r some other approaches also.

I have deleted the web address from above post after checking it by myself and some website reviews, seems like they are just collecting phone numbers for free and they don't have India as an option to call from, when you try to connect any number it keeps on dialing and then comes back with an error saying Call Disconnected.

It would work out to be about 7-8 times more costly that way... calling from phone to phone with voip in the loop is not a cheaper option in India yet due to the high termination charges... It would cost atleast 7-8 cents per min that way and I think its only Re1 per min if you call a phone using a phone
