Default Voice return back when using Skype

For a couple of months I have been experiencing some problem with Skype, whenever I make a call I can ear my own voice back. I have tried different internet connections when using the Skype application, but nothing makes a difference. Is anyone else facing this problem as well? Any solution to it?

Have you tried chaning your headphones maybe there's a fault in them.

I dont think it is to do with the headphones, it is the speed and quality of your internet connection. It maybe that you need a better or faster internet connection.

I sometimes get that echo too and I cut off the call and reconnect again and it goes away most of the times.

This has happened a few times to me when using Skype, but it is not something regular, so I can only assume that the fault is with Skype. I would also recommend that you do not use Skype with your data connection, as sound and voice quality would not be as good.

    My experience too.

I'd try contacting skype if you think it is something with their service. Also, have you tried connecting to their test server and testing your call quality?

This happens sometimes but I have no idea why. I simple disconnect and try again until voice quality gets better.

Same for me. I've even had a perfectly clear echo before with a high-bandwidth connection. Who knows.

Although you do get the echo but clarity wise Skype is the best. I have only had the echo issue once or twice other the connection works fine. I dont know whether it is because of the connection, but I find that using Skype with a WiFi connection and being close by it makes the call quality much better.

I would suggest that you should not use Skype with your phone data connection and instead use a higher speed internet connection for Skype calls.

I go so far as using a wired ethernet connection, but the echo can still happen.

Depends on the cell phone data speeds. The problem with anything wireless is the inconsistent speeds which can drop suddenly for no apparent reason.

I have only used Skype twice and luckily not faced any voice issues. It may be because I used a 4mbps connection, but the voice quality was excellent.

Voice quality can be quite good on skype even with minimal connections. My in-laws had a <1mbps connection where it would work very nicely for voice.
