    Default Facebook Video Calling

Facebook is coming up with more new things to improve its services and compete with other services like WhatsApp. The new service from Facebook is video calling which is in their messenger application. The video calling services is for both iOS and Android users, and users need to have the messenger application downloaded in order to make calls. Unfortunately India is not yet one of the countries which would have this service as of yet, but the countries which would have has this service first is Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, UK, US and Uruguay.

Why not just have the service in the Facebook App, I have noticed that messages can not be read from the application instead you are asked to downloaded the Facebook messenger, why is this?

Facebook is over done now. Its revenue and profits do not justify the valuations their stocks have and in my own personal opinion it wont be long before something new will eat Facebook like a "Vada pao".

Facebook is good at what it does but they are not getting any better. I see no major innovation happening and things like video calling are already there in different forms and variations. I would be happy if their video calling only used say half the bandwidth as compared to skype or other applications but from what I hear it does not provide anything new.

I was of the same opinion for Apple as well for the last 4-5 years but their stock price have shot through the roof. I am invested in Motilal's nasdaq 100 so it means profit for me in a small way but I fail to understand why people still buy iPhones. My opinion remains the same for both Apple and Facebook eventhough their stock prices say a different story and I am not trying very hard to understand why this is so I stay invested till the music is on

I still think that Facebook will go a long way, there are so many social networks which have come after Facebook but have not done as well. Twitter is successful but the purpose of Twitter is some what different from Facebook. Back to the thread topic I dont think that the Facebook messenger would be as successful as compared to services like WhatsApp, as firstly the application is different and secondly it is slight different from the aim purpose of the site.

It is supposed to be under the Facebook messenger application and regarding the launch I dont think it has been launched in India yet as it is yet to be launched in countries like UK, USA etc first.

I've been using Facebook video calling, and it seems working good. But I'm wondering why they had to let the user install two application that suppose to be one at all. Why do we need to intall a messenger outside the facebook application? Just asking.
