Hello All

I'm looking for VOIP Telephone Service, something exactly like Vonage do in US. They just issue a phone set, phone number and VOIP adapter and thats it, all you need is broadband connection at home.

I don't want a PC to be running like we have to using Skipe & Stanaphone, in short no PC based calling. All I should require is a broadband connection at my home. I would just hook up my VOIP adapter to my broadband and the phone will work like any regular phone.

So how can i apply and get that system from Vonage to here in India.??


If you know of any such system existing in India, please reply.

You can use any windows based mobile to use skype from a wifi enabled phone.. you would just need a wireless router.. or in other case buy a voip phone from ebay and configure it to use with which ever service provider you would use.

well,i just want to use my normal phone to become an Ip phone,by which i can call to my US clients.
Thats it.
I have just contacted PHONE POWER and VONAGE,but they say,they dont ship.
So i have to get that to any US address first

Try searching for VOIP companies which offer BYOD (Bring your own device) aka: softphone service, and u dont need to get the device shipped to India. With BYOD all they do is set up a DID number (open a phone account) in your name and send all the details though e-mail. You will be charged though your credit card...Buy a voip device in India configure the setting in the device and ur all set to go.....
