Hi,
My company got some erection and commissioning contracts @ Volkswagen plant coming at Chakan nr. Pune...
Lot of state of art equipments have been flown in...

Humm... All these years Ive spent in ignorance I have always been under the impression that all erection contracts were with pfizer ..

Jokes apart.. its good to see one more car manufacturer comming to India more employment and cheap cars for India

As of now there are two main auto mfg hubs - Pune/Aurgangabad and Chennai.

There are others that are spread, e.g. Gurgaon (Maruti-Suzuki), Kalol (GM), etc.

I am surprised that Nissan has not really started mfg operations in India.

even Pfizer are getting the solutions for erection from pune.
Emcure pharma is bulk drug supplier of Sildenafil citrate to Pfizer.....

Pune has got VW, GM, JCB and Hyundai @ chakan and TATA Fiat @ ranjangaon... more are coming in for heavy engg. eqpts....
