Hi,
can you please help with Search Engine optimization of my blog


I need to decide on [META] tags for keywords,disc etc.


Here Top search queries data from Google for reference:

I am thinking of using Gaurish,bsnl,gaurishsharma as main keywords.

Please guide, i am n00b in this field

Dude, try to make out a list of keywords that describes your blog the best. Then checkout those keywords in google adwords tools and make note of the highly searched keywords and use them in your title, meta & content. As well as your site keyword must be included in title and meta tag.

Try using the all-in-one-seo plugin with your blog. That should solve your problem of seo.
For meta keywords don't use any random ones...use only related keywords based on your blog posts.

The Keywords are very simple except BSNL, you can easily acquire top position on Search Engine.

Dude when you are going for SEO then make sure everything represents your blog properly including URL. And once you are done with it, it doesn't mean that you'll be always on the Searchn engine list, you have to keep updating it to be in top search engine list.

You will find book titled "Google: The Missing Manual", link i posted here (Tips to Google)

It contains everything, how to link other websites, improve your rank in search engines like google, how to google effectively and so on..

Just go through it, it will solve all your doubts..

Yah... nilact is absolutely right. Submitting to search engines and directories will not keep your site on top. You will have to do some marketing of your site like social bookmarking, participating in forums thru signature links, blog commenting and try to get one way links for few relevant sites having high PR.

if i am right, you have a blog. regarding to that here is one more tip about keywords and post titles used in the Permalink or Link Structure of a blog.

The wordpress uses the permalinks like yourdomain.com/?p=1234 to aim a specific article of your blog. The method works good with the search engines but, by changing it to the url like example.com/category/postname will give you more benefits. When your postname and category are symbolized in your permalinks, the category and title words automatically become keywords that search engines will index it when someone links you.
