Hi everyone,
Could anyone tell me what is the SEO and and other things related to it iam sorry but iam little new to such things..If I have a website so how I can promote it to Top Rank??

First of all why in the world you have written the subject line as organic SEO??????

SEO= Search Engine Optimisation i only know this much lol, and yes it is something which we apply to our website so that it is indexed in google by applying proper tags and keyowrds.

Search engine optimization is everything that can be done to make a search engine send more traffic to a web site.
Usually this means defining keywords or key phrases and trying to have your web site listed first (or at least near first) for those key terms.
Search engine optimization is usually divided into two categories of tasks:
· On-page optimization
· Off-page optimization
On-page optimization is designing your web pages to achieve the best ratings from the search engines.
On-page optimization activites include:
· Writing keyword-rich text
· Applying good ALT tags to images
· Making sure that the web page can be properly "spidered" by all of the search engines
· Off-page optimization consists of creating inbound links to your web page.

4. Creation of XML and ROR Sitemaps

8. Checking internal linking structure of all the WebPages
9. Meta Tags optimization

Another step is off-page optimization which includes the following activities:

1. Web Directory Submission
2. One way link building
3. Reciprocal link building

Yeah, SEO is thoroughly explained in the replies above. And organic SEO is the way to go. It means you do SEO naturally and legally and don't use black hat techniques.

What's really good in SEO is organic SEO. You see, some search engine allows payment from some webhost who want's their site to be on top of the list of whatever that search engine is. But the thing is that you can achieve the same thing with organic SEO, you just have to know how to use it well.

SEO - Search Engine OPtimisation

It is optimising your site the best way, to reach the top position in google for a particular searched words. These words are keywords.

For example, If you search for the word heroehost in google, you can find it in the top results of google. This is possible as the site is SEO optimised. This is called organic SEO. i.e., driving the traffic from search engines without spending any amount in advertising.

There is nothing like inorganic SEO.

takatenaman did a neat job to explain in short what organic seo is... basically each seo guy would like to get high ranking on SE's via organic seo and not paid search results. There is a ton on this subject if you search google or any search engine and if you are really keen, then you should join a few webmaster forums and take active interest in the discussions on seo there.

it really isn't rocket science. sign up for a webmaster account with google. read the guide lines and follow them. the quickest answer to your questions is do good site design, and build links to your site.
