Default How to Find the Owner of a Website or Domain Name

When using the internet, it is often useful to find out who owns a particular domain name.

The domain name is located within the URL of the website. The URL is located in the address bar of your browser near the top. Usually, the word immediately proceeding .com, .net, or .org is the domain name of the web site.

An easy example is Google. The domain name is google.

To find information about this domain including who owns it:

    (1) Navigate to Allwhois.com.
    (2) Type in google.com in the text box and click the search button.
    (3) Scroll through the information box below the search button and you will see the following:

    Registrant:
    Dns Admin
    Google Inc.
    Please contact contact-admin@google.com 1600

In this case, we see that the owner is Google Incorporated. There will also be an Administrative Contact and a Technical Contact listed below the Registrant information.

An alternative to this site is Better Whois: The WHOIS domain search that works with all registrars..

As before, enter google.com into the text box and click the search button. On this site, a new page will open presenting the information about the domain name. For Google, it will say RESERVED in big red letters.

This site will occasionally present you with a code that you must enter. This is only done at random times to keep programs from accessing the information.

It will not work if some one had applied whois protection.

    Thanks for the sharing

Well, it is only applicable when the domain is not protected. As when the domain is protected, we are not able to search the information.

Default How to Find the Owner of a Website or Domain Name

I came through this hosting Cirtex Hosting on PHPMotion website. How is their service? Would like to know about their service.
Tried Google, but i think most of the review out there are not legit at all. So i think it would be a better idea to post out here.

    Thanks

Domaintools.com is a good option, although all the whois sites do the same work
