Default Implications of home based web server

I've been using Xampp for setting up my own home based game server and a web server .I've also started hosting a website from it (for totally non commercial purposes)
Are there some legal implications to it?

nothing like that just enjoy the only thing you have to is don’t put illegal content on your server which includes porn, keygens copyrights contents etc...

for static IP you need to Pay Rs2500 month.

I don't know about tata, but airtel charge Rs.2500/m for static IP.

Best option is buy VPS, dedicated server or colocation

DynDNS might help here (if you don't have a static IP). Remember to check your internet plan. So long as you don't exceed any limits, they can't do anything to you. It's not illegal. A linux machine would be recommended if you're going to use stuff like mod_python or PHP (although both can be achieved on Windows also, there's a reason Linux has a 90+% market share in servers, even though Microsoft got there first).
