Question Recommend A Good Hosting Company For Wordpress: Service Matters Than Money

    Hi,

I am pretty impressed by the forum support on web hosting reviews from users here.

I joined because of a thread which thrashed net4.in which I am about to migrate.

I hosted with squarebrothers.com and series of problems haunted me and my website.

I run a wordpress blog with at least 2500 unique page views.

I don't want to have any problems like "bandwidth exceeded" or "CPU resource abuse" or anything else

Can anyone recommend a hosting service?

    money doesn't matter much

Do I need to go to VPS or dedicated server otherwise?

I invite all recommendations with any plan of web hosting though I prefer Indian company.

    Thanks in advance

    Nix

For 2500 unique visitors you do not need a vps.. Shared hosting would do just fine. I have been a customer of hostgator for more then 5 years now and they are one of the best in business. If its just one blog and you dont plan to run more websites in the near future then get their basic shared plan which would allow you to run one site and would cost less then $10 per month.

Just so you know I have hosted websites with more then 10000 unique visitors per day on hostgators shared account and never had an e-mail from them about anything..

VPS would be the best option if your host complaints that you are consuming CPU usage!

As the "Admin" said abive, for 2.5K visits a day u dont need a VPS.

What you have to count is what you use in your blog. May be how much RAM / CPU are you using plus how much MySQL queries are you running in the server.

How much bandwidth are you using up a month. There will be ways to reduce the bandwidth usage, like reducing the size of images that you use in websites and disabling
other access to your website by other bandwidth leechers.

Leaving the present host should be your last thing in mind because they know you better than anyone else. if you are happy with the what they offer and if you've just outgrown the present plan, you may need to upgrade to another. But, when they say so, you have every right to inquire what has caused what.

before opting any plan or hosting company.. try to find out what is the exact problem on your blog i.e. CPU, Memory or Bandwidth then try to find the steps to lower the resource usage before switching as you will face same issues with any host. If you need any help as a system administrator I can help you.. Just IM me.

You can get VPS from dewlance.com/vps/ US VPS[/URL] Providers at $7 - $8 month.

Use httpd.conf for controlling Resource uses.(Max Connection, Max....etc..)

This does not apply if your current host is net4.in ... Move to another host asap is all I can say to any customers they have left.
