Smile $0.99 for 3 years website hosting

Hostable.com [hostable.com] is offering their 3 year website hosting service for free -- with a $0.99 cents service fee of some type. I signed up for webhosting a few days ago and have my wordpress blog up and running.

Looks like cpanel under the covers. PHP, mysql, and everything else that comes with cpanel. Seems like a steal to me and at 99 cents why would I pay for web hosting somewhere else?

I will never go with such type of host.

Have you asked them how many simultaneous visitor can visit you website, How many connectivity providers they have, downtime in last year

Why reject them ? Why is it Free? Get our Unlimited Hosting Plan free for 3 years.

They were in this business for 10+ years. Nowadays every hosting company churns out such red hot deals.

As per the TOS - The signup is for an auto-renewal for 3yrs at $250ish

Also, the TOS states no storage for files unrelated to your website.

The companies from they are comparing dont allow more than 100 simultaneous connections to website.

And if you are storing 50 GB data for your site and using 1tb of bandwidth in their plan i dont think they will continue to provide free hosting for you

well, had a chat with their CC, they told that auto-renewal will be cancelled after you cancel your account, so cancel your account after 2 1/2 year and you are good to go

No, they don't give own domain, you have to buy domain on your own.

this is only the marketing strategy to get new customer to "test" their hosting service. In this such a low price, why don't give it a try? I believe the hosting company has strong technical support to back them up if they dare to throw this low hosting price.

i have tried it and even my friends are using it.

Its slightly slow compared to other sites, database download provides max speed of like 20 kbps and really irritating if u have like 300-400 MB DB.

Its kinda ok but not up to the mark.

    Exclamation take backup regularly

Just in case anyone decides to go with this host despite all the negative replies, take a backup of your files regularly, you will never know when you will have to regret hosting your site with them.

Why you should not buy them?

    1. They are resellers from hosting Brinkster.com
    2. They got registered on 18-FEB-02 so they are not 10+ in this business

What's the problem being a reseller ? Even Hostgator uses the infrastructure of others.
