    Default Hostcats - Hosting Company

I wanted to post my review on Hostcats.com which is a hosting provider so that other people don't get conned by these guys. Hostcats cheated me of a huge sum of money and stole many of my website data and files. I ordered a shared hosting plan from them. In the first 3 months, things were going fine but one day, noticed that sites were not loading. So, I sent an email asking them to fix the problem. It took them 3 days to solve the problem!!!! Many of my website clients were very angry.

After 1 week, again problem occurred and so I asked Hostcats for a refund. But, instead they told me that no refund will be given since someone had hacked into their server and stolen all the data of customers I asked that server security is not my problem but they refused and instead started abusing me through email. On their website, they have clearly stated that they have a 100 day money back guarantee - No questions asked!!!!

Now, I have finally moved to another company...and as a result suffered a big loss

I regret for your issues. Always check alexa rank and google their reviews b4 joining or purchasing.
Btw which's your current hosting you're at?

    I am with ctrls.in now.

I agree with you. I should have checked Hoscats more thoroughly. After doing a Google search, I can see that there are hundreds of complaints about Hostcats.

After the refund was over, they would reply with pre-typed emails and problems would take days to get fixed. I don't understand how cheaters like Hostcats do business.

On the other hand, I had a pretty decent but mixed experience with them when I hosted all my sites under their VPS plan when my debit cards were blocked at the start of the this month.

The speed is terribly slow, even slower than my BB connection at home. I can't install certain softwares/tools as fast as I used to, when I hosted my sites at Amazon AWS. Alternatively, the support team was very kind enough to answer *many* of my questions, patiently, that I can't do in Amazon AWS (only priority/paid support is available). I still have that account with them, but would close it in the next week as the payments via debit cards went through successfully after a hiccup.

    @ Pothi

Thanks for giving a honest feedback about us.

We are sorry for your issue in speed with Indian DC VPS. I hope our team have updated you that we are creating VPS in Indian DC due to unavailability of hardware at that time. We don't provide VPS from Indian DC normally as we are yet to start full fledged VPS solutions. We will be starting premium VPS solutions on Dual Xeon server platform with 100mbps network speed in coming months.

    @ gaugup

Sorry if any inconvenience happened from our end.

Sorry to ask, but it will good if you can share your identity with us, either your hostcats "username" or domain hosted with us.

None of our servers in "Hostcats.com" brand is hacked in recent times as per your post. Also we do offer refund for all shared and reseller hosting clients unless your site was suspended due to any abuse issue. If you could state your ticket ID and username, then we will be able to give you an explanation about the situation. Also it will be a good opportunity to correct our self if it issue was from our end.

I got it and it makes sense on why my VPS was slow. Anyway, thanks for letting me host all my sites even though it was only for a month. Normally, others would ask one year prepayment to host. I already have a 3-year "Reserved Instances" with Amazon AWS. So, I prefer to host there until the term expires. But your company will be my first choice, if I have any trouble paying for Amazon AWS using my cards again.
