    I tested x10hosting.com
    This comes in two packages.
One is ad free and the other is with a small ad.
The features include 3sql databases, cpanel, free fantatico, 300mb and 10GB bandwidth.
The features are same for both the plans but differ only in terms of space and bandwidht. The forum support is excellent.

The only problem is that after 11pm IST it seems that the servers go down. At that times it took a lot more time for my account to get open.

I too came across this new site. But there are still some hiccups on this hosting. They have frequent down times and if you are choosing an ad-free hosting, then you need to login to their forum at least once a week, else your account will get suspended and will need to request again for re-suspension, which i feel is really absurd. It would be very difficult to remember to login to their forum every week.

Personally before switching to Hostgator I have been using ej.am , a free hosting provider which is hosting you for forum posts ! It is a nice hosting site for everyone who need a fast free space and an uptime of almost 99.9%

When I found x10 Hosting, I was very excited. It looked like the best package for free hosting around. Turns out I was wrong. I used them before and ran into the same problems mentioned above. Also, they weren't allowing new account registrations for a while also. Their website says by tonight new people can register though. I wouldn't register with them anyway.

If there's one thing I've learned about web hosting, you get what you pay for. That especially applies to those small, dirt cheap hosting companies. Stay away from them!
