Thread: Linux Web hosting Vs Window Web hosting

does anyone know what its advantage and disadvantage if we used Linux or Window hosting ..?

The only one that i have seen till now .. is MSSQL Database ... wich i didnt see on Linux Hosting, but i have to say that Linux is faster !!!

In linux we get MySql which is very good for database. Linux hosting is cheap to get and is mostly used for common blogs and most websites.
The file transfers and uploads can be done faster and are reliable.

They offer linux for low cost because they need to pay nothing for Microsoft.

There is one major difference between Linux and Windows based servers and that is windows servers crash more often then Linux based servers.

The reason behind this is that ALL MICROSOFT PRODUCTS SUCK

Well different people use different platforms for different personal needs !

We can't compare which one is better but according to me , Linux stands better than Windows and I would never use Windows Hosting as I used once and I had many problems

Thats why Linux remains a platform everyone likes

Linux is a typical OS for server systems .As far i know , most of the servers are Linux based using apache web server.

4.Best for multiuser system
5.of course cheat best,reliable,economical etc
6.Rich set of command and tools to simplify admin's task
