My shared server just crashed and I had made no backups.. is there any way I can get my files back?

You need to contact owners and if they can do something about it then only you would be able to get your files back otherwise there is no other way to get your files back.

I would say that you shoul go with a host which do regular backups and you should save them in your computer otherwise in this situation there is no chance that you would get you data back.
