also u dont have any alternate method for paypal such as bank transfer

which is still most indian users preference

as ur domain registered on nov-2007 u must have updated these things long ago

to be frank i feeling u r simply fly by host companies

though i like ur I plan i afraid to take

let me know if i wrong

We're currently in plans to merger with Intract (I) Services PVt. LTD (Web Design and Development, Web Hosting, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Company Hyderabad,INDIA) Hence the delay and the page desin isn't complete yet. Regarding the domain, we've operated as TROLLDOWN HOSTING SERVICES (TROLLDOWN HOSTING SERVICES) since we've started.
But the name didn't make much appeal to Indian Customers.Hence we changed it to go with something simple and we went for DataHost Services.

Regarding the payment method, if you're not comfortable with PayPal, you can transfer it to the bank directly.

We normally give 2 months of free hosting for our annual customers at the ending of the billing period. But I'll give you the first two months free without any kind of payments & no strings attached. If you like us, you may continue This is only to clear your doubts.

If you have any more questions, please don't hezitate to repy/raise a ticket at DataHost - Client Area

Thank You.

Some one raised another query .. sent a PM to me to get advice..

The query was why do you use a free DNS for your site? I am not too sure how that would matter to a prospective buyer but any way.. Clearing this doubt might get you another customer

I did tell him that no hosting company or reseller would use their own server to host their site.. Normally a host would keep his site off his own server in case there is a break down to keep a point of contact for their customers..

i have noticed ur DNS servers are at afraid.org which is a free dns management site.

the site is not FAKE i know but i just know y u preferring a free dns to ur site.

as admin told host companies wont use their dns themself i agree but they will use some dns which is flexible and have good control on it

btw i got to many pms in some other forum when i asked 10$ plan which is similar to your I plan ( and i found so many fake users sent pms to buy their plans )

i know its tough to begin starting a good service. but i too look in other ways

Well, I'll clear this with an example.

Assume that a hosting company X wants to have private branding (nameservers) for his company like ns1.X.com, ns2.X.com.
For this to be possible, we can point the original domain (X.com) to a managed dns service (like freedns.afraid.org or zonedit.com or everydns.com or no-ip.com) and then create a A record for each of the name server ips with ns1,ns2 as subdomains. By this method, he has to enter the nameservers of the original domain as (ns1.afraid.org or ns1.zonedit.com so on.. I think you got the point). But if I want to use the same ns1.X.com, ns2.X.com as the nameservers for the main domain(X.com) itself, then I have to register nameservers on the primary master of the zone X.com! It means that I have to create those ns1,ns2,ns3s on the main domain control panel itself.

The problem we faced was that because the domain for our site is .in, we were bound to use the managed dns service of our registrar. Most of the .in native registrars provide horrible dns management services. Hence we rooted for the first method.
( I'd like personally advice users to refrain from buying domains from local resellers who claim that they'd give you domains for 250 INR or 300 INR. It doesn't come with managed dns services. You have to pay additional sums like 250 INR extra to get that service. so overall, you'd end up paying around 500 INR to 600 INR for full functionality. Instead, you could buy the same from namecheap.com for $9.20 (roughly less than 400 INR) and you'd get the complete dns control of your domain and a professional service too!)
But luckily, if you want the same setting for a .com/.net/.org (mainstream domains), then namecheap/enom provide excellent nameserver registration service!
Also, since we now have complete control of our domain dns, we were able to set the name servers as
ns5.datahost.in
ns6.datahost.in (for windows hosting)

and

ns7.datahost.in
ns8.datahost.in (for linux hosting)

one personal comment. I think you are doing a very nice job by helping out the forum members. It's rare that one can get direct help from a forum admin these days! keep up the good work

Forums are generally popular in PHP(PHPBB,SM Forum, IPB, VBulliten) hence most users prefer linux/unix platform for Unix.I reccommend you to choose unix Platform (Mini package) for forums.Maintenance will also be easier in Unix platform. But if you cannot forgo asp,you may choose Mini Windows package. The bandwidth available for this plan would be enough to server large number of visitors. Linux package also comes with Fantastico (Auto Installer of 50+ ready to use php scripts) so you don't even have to upload the forum related script files... it will automatically install everything with a single click.

Linux:
Mini package costs 800 INR per year
Basic package costs 400 INR per year

Windows:
Mini package costs 1200 INR per year
Basic package costs 600 INR per year

You can use frontpage to create designs for the forum/main page. we'll help you upload the files & link the domain to the hosting space if the domain is registered elsewhere.

Thanks

In Cpanel 'Addon Domains' means INDEPENDENT domains/sites. You can host upto 3 independent websites in the same STARTER PACKAGE and more on Mini PACKAGE. Please check the instructions on how to do this in the ticket you've opened
