can u please share the link of your forum.........and by the way i found forumotion is the best free forum creator...........free forums started puttin ads on to free forums and we need to pay some amount to remove these ads...........

i have not created a free forum.i have created it using proper software,so that i can display ads!! that was the main aim..

the site is under dev.forums and subforums are being created, the basic theme will be alteres to give a different look,plus all the logos of the software need to be replaced by the college's logo..

by one week,it will be functioning.i will pm you the link.by then i hope my adsense account will also be verified..

what exact software you are using.........and putting the ads on forum can also be done by the self admin panel of forum by editing the template......

i cannot name the sw here.cos lets just say, for some unavoidable circumstances, i got it not through the ryt channel!! hope u get it..

and you r ryt..but then finding the exact piece of code to modify in the whole page takes a lot of very careful scrutiny.even an extra space can cause havoc.its better to be careful in the beginning than spend hours on debugging.
me and 2 of my friends,who will be mods are working on it.it should be done in a few days..

By including some meta tags in your page and other stuff, it will boost ranking of particular website in Search Engine Rankings. It is considered one of the marketing strategy.

If you are not into php scripting go for SMF. If you are a geek go for phpbb or mybb.

If you are dumb like me go for SMF.

Any free forum softwares: Dont meddle too much. Stick to basic configurations.
Go for VB if you have the moolah!!

People who doesn't want to spend a single dime can go to free forum sites. I would suggest freeforums.org for all. I used it once. But have no idea about it now.

If you can afford to have your own domain and can host it, then I suggest you phpBB. It's not too tough to use it. And more over, they have the most number of mods and templates than any other free forum scripts.

SMF and most of its templates looks a bit similar to vBulletin and thus it makes many use it. I haven't used it to suggest about it.

But above all, if you are ready to pay for a forum script, there's no competition for vBulletin. You want to make a successful gaming forum? Invision board would be the best than anyother

The ONLY BESt and FREE + easy to use is SMF. I have am using it since last 6 months on my website
