| Bronze Member | Hi, Sub-domain is free in most of the free web hosts. We usually get a subdomain name like myname.freewebhost.com. However if you'd like to have a domain like yourname.com, then it's not free. It's usually around $10 (most of the time, it is less than $10) to register. If anyone is going to register a domain, I highly recommend to use Google Apps. It not only registers the domain, it also gives 200 email accounts as free in that domain (you can set your custom email accounts like yourname@yourname.com). HTH, Kind regards, Pothi Kalimuthu. |

There is no way to redirect to an IP address (even DNS servers' IP), if your domain registrar doesn't allow it. BTW, where did you register your domain? Regards, Pothi Kalimuthu.

Rep Power: 1 | I don't think there will be any hosting company that gives out web space for free. May be you can try some free hosting sites like 50webs.com which gives free webspace with their subdomain. You can redirect your domain to that sub domain. |

There are plenty of free web hosts out there where one could use his/her own domain. Just search "free web host" in your favorite search engine. Kind regards, Pothi.
