Yeah ImgBurn can burn images (ISO, NRG etc.) or files. If you need to burn DVD Video, VCD etc.. Nero is proabably better for that.
Yea I've tried this software as a part of Klite Video Conversion pack.
It CAN BURN DATA from hdd but you'll need to create image from data for that. And then burn the Image to disc.
Everyone likes it when its FREE with no conditions applied !
I dont know what u guys are talking about......
i use Imgburn. it can burn data discs directly without making images.
R u using the latest version??????
the only problem with imgburn is that it can not convert video file. it doesnt have editing facilities(4 video, audio) either. and it also doesnt support multisession.
but who needs these features. there r hundreds of tools available to take care of those needs.
IMGBURN is the best burning soft available.it also creates a burn-graph which can be analyzed to determine the condition of ur DVD writer or the quality of DVDs u have just burned.
professionals use and recommend IMGBURN.
Yea. you're right.
Sorry. I used the version that came as a bundled KliteVideo Conversion pack. I updated the soft and found the new feature.
I always Use ImgBurn to write data DVD.
AVS DVD Authoring for Video discs.
BTW I tried Nero 9 it causes cpu usage to rise to 99% with some of its applications. So uninstalled it immediately.
It may be a better choice in some respect...but the main drawback i have noticed is that it doesn't provide the option of burning multisessional disks. If anyone knows about how to do so while using imgburn then plz tell.....![]()
When installing Nero 9 u have the option of not installing additonal features like Nero ShowTime .... its ur choice really .... i only installed the basic Nero Burning rom and authoring software
Burning multisession discs reduces the likelyhood of it being read by all dvd drives ... i never burn multisessions
Anyone who thinks Nero is a good software to make DVD/VCD, should get their head examined. OK. Nero can do that. But that's about it. It's encoder is crap. And it simply cannot make enhanced DVD menus such as motion menus, etc.
It all depends on the induvidual's choice ... for a guy like me who rarely makes Video DVDs [and that too simple ones] Nero is A-OK .... Anyway there is no other software thats as stable at burning Data DVDs as Nero is ..... Like i said in my other thread ..in all my life only twice have i had errors while burning dvds
I use oly the data dvd and iso burning features of nero and i've found it to be nice...
I use nero lite edition which has oly the burning rom and nero express and it is also portable
And i used imgburn oly once and it didn't burn the boot sector properly (for my xp dvd)
Oh! I cast doubt on Nero's DVD making/authoring only ... not on burning. When it comes to burning, I believe Nero.
I had earlier used the free DeepBurner and it worked fine with me.
My present laptop came with Roxio Software and so far it has not given any trouble. I download movies almost on daily basis in FLV format. Convert them to MPEG format. And then burn them in a DVD.
Anybody tried using Ashampoo Burning Studio ?
Me ! ....... Nothing outstanding for a soft that isnt a freeware
it will be difficult for the begginers, since it has some additional features.......
Very true... I hate all the crap that comes with nero. I also use either the micro or portable edition. Its quite small.
Actually IMO unless u have a BD Writer or sth, Nero 7 is more than enough
Both 8,9 have no worthy enhancements as such exceptt for a lousy interface.
Tried it, works sometimes and sometimes not, but over all it seems to be good got the time to test if fully tho
which 1 are u taking abt ashampoo , nero or imgburn ?![]()
I use UltraISO...very neat program.
In freeware, IMGBurn is good.
Nero keeps getting worse with every new release.
I hope there's won't be an operating system by them any time soon![]()
u have to try the roxio's DVDit Pro HD
LOL
ya UltraISO is a nice software but only for file images and also for its .dmg file support feature........
Operating System :==)> Ahead Nero XP Beta 1.0![]()
Xilisoft DVD Creator - Burn DVD movie from AVI MPEG DivX WMV to DVD this is also a good burning software with dvd menu creating options ... i have used it ... quite useful ...
ashampoo burning studio is also good ...but it is very similar to nero ... looks are almost identical ...
I also prefer Nero. Even I am still using the old Nero 6 version. Buring and opeing a Nero image is even easier without installing any extra application. It took only 3 minutes to burn an image to or from hard disk drive. You can open all your saved images in Nero Image Drive. Doesn't matter what are the contents of the CDs, Nero saves them as they are either a Bootable, Picture, Video etc.
