    Question rating.pol file

    Hi

    Can you please explain or put some light on rating.pol files which are i suppose related to content advisor setting.

    ratings.pol: It's a file created when you enable Content Adviser in Internet Explorer. It contains the configuration you selected in rating system.

    i was about to post something on this but everything is already explained in a single post

    basically we don't need this file and if this file goes off then also don't create's any hard mess and can be rebuilt or repaired by going to repair IE

    hope you got the answer arpana if you need some more details of this then please post

    archer can you please be kind enough to explain that, i need to know the rating system and rating level when we come to content advisor.
    what happen when we enable it and why we are enabling it :confused1:

    Content Advisor is like a Child Lock or is a Child Lock.

    Content Advisor
    is used to filter specific types of content on the Internet that the user are not allowed or have no need to view.

    You can select an appropriate rating/filter from the list that you want to use.

    You can also put exceptions in the filters using the slider or Approve sites list tab, if you want.

    You can manage/control it using a Supervisor Password.

    yes... just like in google.. we put search filter.. so tht offencive an inappropriate web sites and images doesnt get displayed...
