    Post Windows Vista SP1

    Hi!
    I am running on Vista Business.I am updating it regularly and at last there came an important update "Windows Vista SP1".Should I install the Service Pack.......Is it running without any issues......Plz Help!

    You should do it. I had also done it on my vista home premium.

    The SP1 for Vista is a minimum requirement for many s/w and games installation

    wait a min.....dont just install it through the automatic updates......just download the standalone setup from the MS website (google Vista sp1)....so u can have it with u for future use on diff systems w/o internet connection or in case u format ur HDD

    I did the same. Works fine. I also use auto patcher to further upgrade it. Though I primarily use XP SP3.

    Automatic update is preferred compared to the standalone setup as it is smaller in size & takes care of the current configuration on your pc better...thats what microsoft says.

    The SP1 has many security issues of Vista fixed and various other performance enhancements too. Please do update.

    Thats b$. Its all the same. What happens is if you have installed particular upgrades prior to sp1 then those are not re-installed in automatic upgrades plus latest patches are installed only. No harm in any method. You can do either.

    I instal sp1 standalone and autopatcher afterward upgrading to sp1.
