how to raid hard drives

| You have to first decide why you want to raid two hard drives There are many type of raid levels like raid0 raid1 etc raid0 uses the stripping technique for increasing the speed with which data is stored/retrieved raid1 is generally used for taking simultaneous backup *so first decide which level u want to use [refer wikipedia] *yes u need a raid card |

Rep Power: 3 | Holy crap. Sounds dangerous. Why would any one want to risk data loss by using RAID 0. But its your data your decision. Please note Intel will discontinue RAID support by the end of this year as claimed by few news articles. |
