these version are by microsoft or modified by some groups........???

these are modified by 3rd parties ... microsoft does not recommend the use of such versions ... thats why i am also not mentioning much about these here ..

I would advice u to refrain from installing such packs. They are known to bring about stability issues. And they are not supported by Microsoft.

I precisely remember a post by one of the members who was stating he is going to format his PC due to Windows 7 theme installation problems..

why can't u just use the zune theme for xp... its good enough and MS certified .

You can also use Alienware theme pack, it has some good themes

i was using it till i found zune theme a few months back...

I used to until I found Alienware then got back to classic again then found zune. Gonna stick with for awhile

I use Windows Classic. I used to use lots of packs to make my desktop glitter. I then got bored, and decided to stick on with the Classic.

that was my case when i had got my comp

Used classic when my XP ran on 64 mb of RAM, now I use either the LUNA or Vista VG theme.

same here man......i was waiting for that reply.......but now i'm using win xp silver theme with 2 GB RAM..........

^^^ I like the silver theme, but it seems to be kinda jinxed.... whenever I put that theme, I've had to re-install my system for some reason or other

I still see most power users sticking to the basis such as classic themes on high end PCs. Am talking of senior system administrators in MNCs.
