Thread: Creating own online Radio station in windows? help needed

i dont know whether this is the correct section to post this thread ...i couldnt find an appropriate section for this ...

one of frnd today told me that we can create and host our own free radio station online using some software and winamp ... he also doesnt know the details quite well ... can someone help me with this ...

I have used this a while back, imo its better to upload songs to a server and then broadcast, instead of using your own PC. thereby making your internet connections's upload speed a bottle neck

thanks for ur ideas ... both were really good ... but guess what ... searching for this fow the past few days ... i finally found a complete solution for this on the net ... icecast and oddcast are the two softwares to use with winamp for this purpose ... here is the step by step guide ...
